After more than a year without a shooting range, the Kane County Sheriff's Office welcomed the opening of a brand new Regional Training Center in September 2014.

The new training center was opened a month ahead of schedule and under budget. The 5,700 SF facility houses six shooting lanes and accommodates different training scenarios –traffic stops, low light and other potential hazards. In addition to those training scenarios, the range is designed to have room for a squad car to be brought inside.

The addition of the Regional Training Facility to the existing Kane County Judicial Center will allow for over 244 personnel - deputies, court security officers, and corrections officers – to have direct access to a nationally certified range to ensure proper training and firearms certification.
