The 10,000 square foot branch of First American Bank, located adjacent to the Eden's Expressway in Chicago, uses a classical architecture vocabulary to convey a sense of banking tradition and permanence. Constructed of loadbearing limestone aggregate precast panels, the building shell is not only highly durable and maintenance free, but also cost effective. The interior space uses traditional architectural forms detailed with mahogany woods and veneers, granite countertop surfaces, and terrazzo flooring in an abstracted classical architectural motif. The banking interior is formal and elegant, yet intimate.
