Cordogan Clark & Associates' design for the addition and remodeling of the existing Illinois Valley YMCA facility creates a new indoor Aquatic Center and Center for Physical Rehabilitation & Aquatics (CPRA) for the Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru, Illinois. It includes a 23,000 square foot indoor aquatics area with recreational and leisure elements; a 4,000 square foot zero depth pool; a water slide & plunge pool; and an interactive SCS water feature unit. An 8-lane, 25 meter competition lap pool, viewing area, and state-of-the-art therapeutic pool are incorporated in the new addition's design.

This recreational complex also includes a 5,000 square foot area for infant care and preschool activities; new administrative offices; additional locker rooms; and a concessions / party area. Portions of the existing building were renovated to provide family changing rooms, updated restrooms, and a teen multi-purpose room.

Located in the Miller Building at the Illinois Valley YMCA, the 15,000 square foot CPRA rehab center has more than 30 pieces of therapy equipment. The rehab center is now home to all of the IVCH's outpatient physical rehabilitation services. The award-winning therapy pool is the first-of-its-kind in the Illinois Valley with a list of features that makes it the best for aquatic therapy in the Illinois Valley.
