MB Financial Bank
Lincolnwood, Illinois
MB Financial Bank of Lincolnwood is designed to be contextual with its community setting. It takes the local architectural fabric further by conveying a strong sense of permanence much greater than the scale of this facility would suggest. Although the old days of grand bank temples are gone, a bank's responsibility to shape the public realm remains as significant as ever. In the early 1900's Chicago architect Louis Sullivan, the "father" of Prairie School architecture, completed his great small-town Midwestern banks. With Prairie Style massing and intricate ornament, Sullivan's banks celebrate Midwestern life.

The design of this banking facility is an update of traditional civic and bank architecture. The architectural language used here is reminiscent of early Prairie Style banks designed by Louis Sullivan. Here this language generalized, abstracted, and adapted to current technology. This creates a strong, recognizable public presence for the bank.
The interior design, with its high-ceilinged lobby and generous accents of dark green marble and cherry wood throughout, reinforces the exterior design to convey a sense of financial stability normally associated with a much larger facility.
MB Financial Bank is committed to providing personalized, relationship-oriented service that its customers value. Success requires a highly talented and energized workforce supported by effective and efficient operating systems. MB believes in creating an environment where people want to work, where they can grow and prosper, and where personal success is aligned with company success. MB Financial Lincolnwood is designed to provide such an environment.
