Cordogan Clark & Associates is currently engaged in a wide range of projects, including banks, schools, libraries, fire stations, and community centers. Projects this year range from a $60 million police headquarters to a $70 million community college campus. You would have the opportunity to work with many different building types and sizes, and in all the major building materials, including steel, masonry, wood, light gauge and concrete. We also require engineering site visits for every project, so you will be able to see your projects develop, and follow them through to completion.

Structural Engineer
Cordogan Clark & Associates, a top 20 Chicagoland A/E firm, has an immediate opening in our Aurora office for a Managing Structural Engineer with a minimum of 7 years experience. CCA consists of 5 design studios, engineering and construction management groups, totaling 70 professionals, in architecture, interior design, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering, cost estimating, and construction management. The multi-disciplinary firm is actively engaged in a variety of projects, including educational, recreational, municipal, institutional, residential, and commercial.
Professional candidate will be responsible for the management of firm’s structural department and subsequent integration with architectural, mechanical and electrical groups. Candidate will work on multiple projects concurrently & coordinate work in progress between firm’s two offices, as well as outside consultants. Responsibilities will include all aspects of project development including client coordination, proposals, pre-design services, meetings, site visits and project management.
The successful candidate must have ability to multi-task and possess excellent client management skills while demonstrating a thorough knowledge and understanding of structural design techniques, detailing, and computer proficiency including AutoCad Architecture 2008, RISA (3D; Footing; Base Plate) and understanding of Retain Pro software. S.E. license required.
Ideal candidate will be a highly creative motivated professional with a solid technical and business background in a variety of projects in order to bring wisdom, leadership and client development skills to the position.
